NORTHWOOD 138EDS FABCENTER

This model exceeds the challenging needs of most contemporary stone fabricators. The large work envelope (156″ x 96″)  allows the operator to process an entire slab worth of countertops in one setup.  The 138EDS has been the industry standard bearer since it’s introduction in 2007. This revolutionary form factor has proven so successful that it is no surprise that many other companies building CNC machines have followed our engineering leadership.
SW-138-AM
The Northwood 138-AM Router for the Architectural Millwork industry was designed with the same EDS (Extreme Duty Spindle) technology, but with 30″ of Z-Stroke.  The machine is specifically designed with the limestone fabricators’ needs in mind.  It also includes a larger ISO50 Taper spindle to accommodate larger tooling and provide even more power to the tooltip.
Raptor Dual-Table Sawjet (SW138-SJ127-SWJ Series)
The SawJet is controlled by a FANUC Servo control system closely integrated with a 40mm ground ballscrew. This combination is designed to provide years of trouble-free operation and also provide the highest level of accuracy. Northwood’s interface software and machine control allows an operator to quickly load and run part programs, as well as perform other machine tasks.   In addition, Northwood’s industry-leading StoneVision(TM) 3.0 software, coupled with Alphacam(TM) software by Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, takes the difficulty and risk out of processing drawings or digitized data into machine toolpaths.
Dual Table (SW138-SJ127-SWJ Series)
In addition to the saw-motor, the Saw Jet is equipped with an abrasive waterjet head from KMT Waterjet, and is powered by a 60,000 PSI Intensifier Pump. The garnet is fed from a pressurized reservoir to a motor-driven, metered feeder system proximate to the waterjet nozzle. The SawJet software automatically switches between the saw and waterjet as the condition demands and blends the two cuts as a product of an easy-to-follow calibration routine. In addition, Northwood’s industry-leading StoneVision(tm) 3.0 software, coupled with Alphacam(tm) software by Vero Software, takes the difficulty and risk out of processing drawings or digitized data into machine toolpaths.
